Pasture Raised Lamb

We specifically raise hair sheep - who shed their hair rather than produce wool - and have a more tender and lean flavor. Lamb meat from pasture raised Katahdin hair sheep is considered to have a mild and flavorful taste, without the strong mutton flavor often other breeds produce. This is the only certification that assures animals are raised outdoors on pasture or range for their entire lives on an independent farm using truly sustainable, high-welfare farming techniques. Unlike most farm certifiers, AGW’s independent trained auditors visit every farm in the program at least once a year to verify they’re meeting the standards. This includes: mother-raised livestock, mostly grass-fed, adequate pasture space, safe shelter, and stress-free environments.

We ordered 4 lbs. of ground beef for pick up at Pixie Sweets in Florence. Fulfillment to pick up was timely and easy. The quality of the beef was outstanding.
